Too close, Too Far?
Lens: 35mm Camera: K20 ISO: 400 Shutter Speed: 1/20s Aperture: F3.5

Well, its not close enough to be "macro" and not big enough to be "architecture" and it certainly isn't "machinery," so I don't know how to categorize it. Again, it's a B&W and very slight toning through layer opacity. I'm interested in any ways in improving the technique, or whether the technique is worth improving. Any and all criticism welcome and please also see this general Galleries posting for the same technique,
Brian

Looks more Abstract.
Well captured with good framing to show pattern in a creative way.
Good use of shallow DoF and sharp focusing on the subject.
The limiting factor with this shot is only the subject matter - doesn't captivate me, but is technically well shot. The highlight banding across the middle is not too bad but bordering on distracting to the right. Otherwise a fine image.

This proves that there is a picture anywhere! Our imagination is our only limitation, you've done well here in making a picture out of nothing. I like the tonality of the photo. It's difficult to get various shades of black, which, IMO you have done well here. Congratulations and thank you for posting this photo, and keep up the good work.

Ash, JimH...
Thanks for the positive feedback. Validation is important, even to a curmudgeon like me,
