Crater Lake NP
Lens: 16 mm Camera: K100D Super ISO: 200 Shutter Speed: 1/25s

Aperture: F18 EV: 0.7

Took lots of pictures at Crater Lake but was trying for a little different perspective. Does it work? How could I have improved it? Lots of help please!

I like the shot. I may have tried a lower angle on the foreground. [lowering the height of the tri-pod and moving the point just off center] There is a light senosr dust on the image on the right bottom too. Need to get there! JIM

Susan, this is a fine exposure. I do like it with Jim's suggestion and my own as a caveat: The beautiful curving landscape seems to end abruptly on the right side of the frame and then continue again in the bottom right corner. It would have been more appealing IMO if a slightly wider angle (or slight shift in camera view to the right) were used to get the continuous land-water edge in the frame.

Thanks to you both for your suggestions. Grrrrr! on the sensor dust. You wouldn't believe what I put that poor camera through on this trip and I have been spending hours just getting rid of all the dust that seems to be everywhere. I really have trouble sometimes with how much of the picture will actually show up since the viewfinder crops 5% of what I'm looking at. Usually I take a picture of my husband's elbow but in this case I missed that right hand corner.
Thanks for the comments. We are off to the beach tomorrow for three weeks. Hopefully I will have lots of opportunities for pictures.

No worries.
Sensor dust is no biggie.
Just clone it out.
