On a grey dreary Christmas Day to walk down the traditional huge lunch, I took a stroll in the Royal Botanic Gardens. Below is one result, from a K10D at 1/125s and f6.7, 50 mm. I cropped it slightly as I thought the wider frame suited the shot better and also to trim out the vignetting in the sky typical of the 18-250 lens.
Aside from resizing, that was all the PP, because my point is, other critiques aside, did I select the correct zone of focus? It wasn't really intended to be a shot of the Opera House and Harbour Bridge, more that they are included as an "Oh, I see where we are..." added feature of the photo. Or, does their fuzzy out of focus appearance just make it look like I mis-focused?
