Branches & Bird
Lens: 560 Camera: k20d Photo Location: Baltimore

This guy has been taunting me for the last couple of days, appearing just outside the bedroom window but evading my attempts to get a clear, close shot. This was an "insurance" shot taken from the porch before I embarked on the first of many futile attempts to get closer.

A*400mm f/2.8 & Tamron 1.4x TC @ f/6.3, 1/250s, ISO=2500.

WARNING: I will apply my pruning shears to the private parts of anyone who complains about the branches in front of the bird.

May I suggest you apply the shears to the branches instead?

Thanks for the sample A*400mm shot. I'm getting a feeling for what I have to start living up next week.

Gorgeous bird shot, but the tree trunk on the left bugs me. It weighs the picture down on that side. I swear I can feel it in my left eye...

Thanks, Frank! Leaving that trunk in was a conscious decision, of course-- but not necessarily a good one
