So what aspects of them do you think needs critiquing? They look pretty good to me.

Yeah, these are great if not a bit overprocessed/CGI-looking -- but that doesn't mean it doesn't still look great.

Was just wondering a bit how they work as a pair. Maybe if the winter one was a 1/3 sky instead of 2/3 it would create more tension between them.

Think the summer version is the a bit worse compared to the winter one, dunno why.

I like them the way they are compositionally. Changing the ratios of land to sky might create more tension, but I don't feel this pair really needs tension. It benefits from being similar, you get a stronger effect of just how disparate the two seasons make the landscapes.

As a pair, I think the transition is too drastic. It would be nice I think if there were a third (in between) shot to make the transition more gradual.

On it's own I think the first one is a beautiful, dramatic picture.

I think these are great, both individually, and together. The summer one is maybe pushed a bit too far but still looks good.

It might be interesting to see how the pair looks if you crop them to have the exact same horizon height, right now the winter one has the horizon a bit higher.
