Snowy bouys
Lens: 120 Camera: K-x ISO: 100 Shutter Speed: 1/250s Aperture: F6.7

Just a pile of swim area bouys stacked up outside the local beach maintenence building for the winter.
Altough I think b&w works well for this shot, I didn't want it to be judged strickly on that. To me this shot just speaks to me. Does it do anything for you as well? Or not so much? Why?
Maybe I just miss swimming at the beach...
Thanks
Tim

It's a very detailed picture, excellent focus. But to me, the subject(s) overwhelms the picture and crowds the background. The branch in the front is distracting. And I wish it was in colour

As Frank said, the subject dominates the frame. That kind of domination should be reserved for when you pick out smaller details of a subject. Of course there other reasons but in this case I'm talking in context with this particular picture.

I'm assuming those buoys are a bright colour, in which case B&W is definitely wrong. You should be making use of the colour contrasting with the white of the snow.
