The Hub
Lens: 32.5mm Camera: K2000 Photo Location: Charlotte, NC ISO: 400 Shutter Speed: 1/125s Aperture: F5.6 

This is a hub of the rear wheel of a fire engine. The subject is the Fire Captain who agreed to pose for the shot. Thoughts and comments appreciated.

I'm sorry but this shot doesn't work much for me. The wheel isn't nearly clean enough to convey the contrast necessary to make the reflections stand out. A lot of detail gets lost. So what we're left with is a dirty wheel, a non-detailed scene, and very low contrast all around. The idea is definitely neat, but it needs more setup to make it work.

Interesting because the fire crew just washed the rig. That's why it was out of the garage bay.
I manipulated the contrast some in pp to achive overall balance, that can always be re-adjusted.

I think it would have been better if you hadn't cut of the sidewall of the hub.
