Last sanp of the day
Lens: 80mm Camera: K200d ISO: 200 Shutter Speed: 1/125s Aperture: F9.5

Last picture of the day shooting landscapes. I keep coming back to it. Rotate it 90-180? Is it abstract enough not to matter ?

Can you post a smaller version, a lot of people use laptops and can't see the whole image on their screen? Max height should be 600 pixels, thanks.

i played with it a little and liked it spun 90 counter clockwise. I also liked a square crop for some reason, but thats just me.

Thanks for ideas. I have reposted smaller version for convenience of others. I don't want to discourage anyone from helping.

I like it the way it is. Some people might not like the flag being upside down but that's their problem, this is an artistic piece after all. The composition is good, the three reflections make a nice diagonal and the colour is good. The only thing that would have been nice is a smaller aperture so that everything was in focus.

I tend to agree with Gary, I think if you are going to have a photo of the flag flying in the mud, it works best upside down... square format could be good, but I went 2:3 and came up with this... hope you don't mind...

Maybe you could take a little bit off the bottom to give it a squarer feel, but I dont feel that any on the sides should be removed. Doing so seems to take away from the visual story being told (reflection in a mud puddle).
I like it how it is as far as placement/rotation aspect.
Good idea and concept.

Iowa, well I'm going against the flow here, but IMO it doesn't work as abstract photography. There are a lot of definitions but most include some standard that the image steers clear of identifiable objects or objective representation. I get too much representation and some murky symbolism with the flag upside down in muddy water. I'd like less of the flag as object and more as an dea. The ability to PP and really bend the image affect may be the real strength of digital media. I'd like to see you take another look at it in PP, letting go of the idea that we have to see the flag and go for the feeling of the flag,
Brian

I like icywarm's crop. Orientation could go either way, depending on your preference. Now, if you cropped out all the mud and only leave the flag, then flipping it righ-side-up would be better.
