This is a sneak peek from a shoot I did yesterday, the first shot I took was this one...and it's one of my favourites! This is another MMer, I'll post more details later

This is very nice, but I think that the flash is a little bit too harsh on her, especially as you can see with the lighting effects on her hair, kind of looks like she got hit by lightning a little bit! The portrait itself is great though, but I would recommend getting a diffuser.

The halo effect is the light behind her, it was a bit too strong. I changed it after that shot.

I'm debating which diffuser to get, I used a shoot through umbrella, and i have a reflective one I use sometimes.

I concur with jct's observation.
The back light or reflection on the hair at the right side is harsh. Maybe reducing the brightness at this section will improve the overall picture.
Just my 2 cents worth of opinion.
