(Not my pic of the lens)

(My pic with the lens)

Carl Zeiss Jena DDR Flektogon 35mm f/2.4 MC Close-Focusing M42 Lens. Mine is the non-electric version.

I call it my mouthfull lens :P Simply amazing colors and sharpness, and almost 1:2 macro focusing in such a tiny body.

For the most part all were originally purchased as a prized possession and often represented a degree of sacrifice for the owner. Yes, I know that feeling. That's how I reacted when I picked up the Makinon and decided to give a good home. I guess it extends to once-loved pets that end up in the pound beaten and starved. Sad, really.

Nice ones

Ohhh, nice bokeh with the jena, of course.

Nessar. Very nice "rich" colors there. There is something special about glass.

I turn my back for a day and suddenly there is a bunch of new nice pictures from odd lenses. I really like this thread, make using the lenses fun.

Cheers

Panagor PMC Auto Macro 90mm 1:2.8

Panagor PMC Auto Macro 90mm 1:2.8

I collected a number of macro lenses, then found out that macro is a challenge. I'm trying to learn by using only one lens at a time. Today I got some decent results. I think the lens is still way better than me.

I believe this lens is made by Kiron. It goes to 1:1 without adapters. It has a scale marked with different dental procedures next to the reproduction ratio scale ("Crown Prep" at 1:1), and it came with a flash bracket that mounts at the front of the lens. It takes 62mm filters and is a manual K-mount. You don't want to know what I paid for it.

The photo is snow crystals growing on my driveway. It was very cold last night and only -5ºF when I took the shot. I probably could have experimented more but it's too cold to lay on concrete for long. DS, ISO400, f16, 1/250

Does anyone recognises this lens? I picked it up for €10 but i can't find anything on the internet about it. It seems to have a M39 thread.

If it has a 39mm thread it was possibly manufactured for Leica. Telesar was one of several brands that made this size thread when it was first introduced by Leica. Telesar also made lenses to fit Hasselblads, so they've been up there with the best. By the looks of some ads on ebay they're still going, making filters and accessories. Have you been able to get an adapter for your Pentax?

If it's M39 it's going to be quite difficult getting an adapter, because the registration difference of M39 and the Pentax mount is too great.

Okay, here's an "off brand" for ya . . . Nikkor. Anyone ever hear of them?

Non-AI Micro-Nikkor-P.C 55mm f/3.5 with M2 extension tube.

Taken with my K20D at ISO1600, f/8, 1/8s in ambient light, handheld (well, propped up on a box).
And where do you get such an adapter?
