I don''t know about his settings Jo, but I'm pretty sure he was using a prime lens.

So no one is keen for a photo meet-up next weekend?

Can't do next weekend but am keen to do a weekend shoot and hopefully learn something. Maybe sometime in November.

Thanks jotaz.gmail for the kind word, I checked EXIF for that shot it was actually taken with my Pentax DA 18-250 superzoom at 55mm, aperture wide open at f4.5, shutter speed is 1/100 and ISO 500.

Nicole got the twin sister of this lens the Tamron 18-250, these 2 lenses can perform really well within their limits, weakness being low light performance and widest/longest end softness but for all round convinience it's really hard to beat for the price.

And sorry Nicole I will be doing the 7 bridge walk with friends this Sunday so I don't think I will be available for the meet up.

I will bring my K-x with DA15 and DA 35Macro along because the duo are so light I wouldn't think it will be a problem to bring along for the walk

No worries Eric, I had a change of plans anyhow. I'm meeting up with a photographer I admire to discuss a shoot, so that should be fun!

I still haven't got a prime yet, but that's next on my list. The spring fair photos turned out quite well by the way, the school loved them and I'm going to be taking photos for a dance studio next

Have fun on your walk, do you have a gallery up I can look at Eric?

We definitely need to have another meet! It was loads of fun last time and I learnt heaps.

Unfortunately i would not be able to make it, I usually only have sundays free.

Would love to arrange another meet up maybe later this month or early december.

We should definitely meet up again Peter, maybe 28th November or 5th Dec, may as well look up if there is anything happening these 2 weekends so we can have a theme for the day.

PS, got your K-5 yet? apparently DCW got them in store already and the 18-135WR kit is cheaper than ryda.

Haven't got my K-5 yet. I don't think the kits are available yet, just the bodies. I am hoping to get it in the next week. Ryda will price match so I should be able to get the DCW price from them.

I can't make the 28th but I can make the 5th, if you guys end up going with that date.

I'm going to Newcastle on the 20th to the red lantern night markets, they'll have fire twirlers and dancers and other things, so I'm looking forward to checking that out!
