For all you noreasters out there... Brendan always puts together a fun and educational trip. Take advantage of him going north from DelMarVA for a change. I'd be going if I could but simply have to many other things going on this year.

This sounds interesting. My wife and I have discussed getting back down to NY some time soon to wander around and take some pictures. I'll discuss it with her and see what happens.

I'm leaning, but not firm. Mostly looking into lodging vs. driving and parking vs. a train ride. Anyone from the Philly area want to maybe car pool?

I'd love to get to NYC, but that Friday & Sunday are already committed. And I may still be recovering from Baltimore the weekend prior. I'm beginning to see a life pattern also; I take a photo expedition in summer and the furnace kicks in. Blackwater NWR, sweltering; Baltimore this year and last were/are going to be 100+ maybe.

Other option on time is to hold this in the Fall
October, around the time of the PDN Photo East Expo, Say do it the Sunday after the expo, (Sat Oct 29=expo day, Sunday Oct 30th = workshop day)
Or Christmas time, but this would have to be the last weekend in november or 1st in Dec ONLY

Due to current participation/lack of, Currently we are now looking at the end of October, after the Photo Expo. Sorry folks, I have to have 5 or I can't run it and the sponsors dont like hearing anything less than 10 in reality. (Kingston has signed back on, Pentax May be interested this time and Lenspen)

You clearly have Dave and I but I shocked at how little interest there is. There must be a huge number of shooters in this region. Are they not seeing this thread?

Maybe we need to hit the social groups here to see if they know about this.

I had an idea I just mentioned in the National Capital Area Pentaxian group in a new thread. I was thinking of going to the Lancaster, PA area in October (probably over the Columbus Day weekend) to see some fall colors, Amish farms, the Pennsylvania RR Museum. Was just tossing it out to see if other folks would think of it as a possible group event; but maybe it could be larger? Just talking out loud...

Being from new hampshire, I could possibly go. But the gas, parking, or train ride on top of the hotel might get too pricy for me. But I leave for the navy in november, so this would really be the last trip I could go to.
