Has anyone had this scenario with their K-5: Instert a "fully charged" battery, and after about 50 shots, the battery is depleted? I have both the charger that came with the K-5 and a cheap charger I got from Amazon (that is "Pentax K-5 battery compatible"). I would think the battery should permit several hundred shots per charge, correct? Thanks! steve@totalqualityphoto.com

Based on experience with my K-7 the battery should give you the several hundred shots you expect. However, at least with the K-7, the battery will gradually drain over time if left in the camera body.

So I was wondering why the thread for today was closed? I checked the official sticky and found:
"Friday, September 9th
Thread will be opened between 1pm and 2pm EST. Posts 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 50, 150, 151, and 300 will win."
but in the thread for today it didn't list 150,151 or 300 and the thread was closed in the 60s.

Is it going to secretly re-open later?

Could be... I was reading the info in this sticky, and got excited for a minute because it hadn't reached the higher numbers yet.

What time zone is used...when I go to time converter it wants arizona / new york etc...I have been stalking the forum for hours waiting for the thread to open.
