Anyone interested in meeting up on the Sat25 or Sun26 Feb 2012 in Yorkville for the Bloor Yorkville Icefest...we could meet and have breakfast/lunch first or after at Sunset Grill near Church and Bloor (see incld map BLUE ARROW right side of map location #14) as some of the proceeds of the sale goes to charitable cause.

I know it's a little short notice but usually GTA meets are from within the GTA and surround areas except for a few who come from outside of that.

I'm busy on the weekend unfortunately. I will get through the icefest as I work around the corner (with the weather this week forecast it will be tough for them to get the carving done the days will all be above freezing.

Bowling for Kids-sake (big bros big sis) on the Sat - probably wont be able to get into TO - looks like fun though I'll have to make a note for next year.

Does Saturday 25th 10am sound good? late breakfast, early lunch for the meet/greet then stroll over shooting everything along the way?

I'll also have a garbage bag of film cameras i got off ebay that i never tried,used that haven't been packed away...if you want you can buy me breakfast/lunch or not for the bag ...i don't know if it's even worth it but YOUR choice to or not...i'm easy like that. The stuff is just gathering dust...i hate that.

Film SLR bodies? P&S bodies? There are certainly a few models of either that I would find entertaining but I'm a bit iffy about committing to a bag of random cameras. I'll PM you my email address and if you get a chance maybe you can email a representative photo.

I seem to be doing most of my shooting with the Sigma 24-70 f/2.8 Macro and an Olympus XA these days, but I have a few moderately unusual lenses (A 50/2.8 Macro, F 50/1.7, FA 28/2.8, Super Tak 35/2 and 105/2.8, Tamron 52BB, F70-210, Vivitar S1 70-210 V1) and I'm happy to make sure a particular one makes it into the bag if someone has a request

lol i was going to post the pictures tomorrow, but you can have them...looks like it's a meet of two so far lol...we're NEVER going to challenge that Singapore team...i gotta remember to visit when i'm their, their botanical garden and zoo are interesting but Orchard Rd is better for people shooting... BUT i never seem to leave the hotel

If it's just 2 of us i might not bring the canon gear...i'm no mule

Saturday sounds good, I'll let my small photography group know, we may get several more people to join us... I may even bring my 645 or ... well... any number of other cameras, make a request if you want.

Your Pentax maybe weather proof but is it "sound-canon" proofed?
