I moved here from central NY late last year, and I was ~10 minutes from lakes, waterfalls, wildlife, and very close to the Adirondack Mountains. Now I'm just outside of the city, so it's a huge change for me, and I'm looking to try new things.

So what is there to shoot near Dallas?

There are many lakes in the area, but not much to really take pictures of. Right now the Dallas Arboretum is nice to take photos at. The Dallas and Fort Worth zoos are also nice. You will not find the kinds of things you are use to taking pictures of here.

Ah, it sounds like I was already on the right track then. I've been to the Ft. Worth zoo, and the Dallas World Aquarium, and am waiting on a macro lens I just bought and a free weekend to go to the Arboretum. I do enjoy the Cars & Coffee meets every month also..
