Nov. 2nd feels right for me. Would be cool to get together every couple of months. If it has a shutter button I shoot it. Often with a .357 ... just kidding. I have a K-m and a new 16 card to load. -stv.

Checked out the website. Seems the park is open all the time. The train rides are from 10 to 5:30. They do have places for food ( hot dogs & soda ). You can also rent pavilions. A small one is $25.00. That would give us a place to sit and talk, maybe show pics on laptops. Do we want to pool $$ and get one, or just go and shoot. What do you think?

I'll throw in a few bucks toward a Pavilion.

I just called to see about a pavilion, the $25.00 is if you are a Scottsdale resident. Otherwise it's $50.00. Anybody live in Scottsdale. If you would make the reservation, it'd save a bunch of money.
The number to call is 480-312-2312 option 4. There are 4 small pavilions for 20 people.

I live in Scottsdale, I will call and reserve.

When do we plan on showing up? 2 PM? 3 PM? Or earlier?

Ole. Thanks for reserving the pavilion.
I'll make sure you won't be stuck money wise. If they want a down payment, or advance payment let me know & I'll get you money. Send me a pm and let me know. As far as time, I don't know. The rides start at 10am. Do we want to meet then, earlier, or afternoon? The lights going to be flat either time. What do the rest of you think?
I will bring my laptop in case any one wants to show some pics. They will have to be on a flash drive, or DVD, or cd as my laptop don't have a sd card slot. Stupid I know, but it was free.

I have reserved the Prentice Ramada. It is at our disposal from 9 AM to 5:30 PM.

You enter the parking lot from Indian Bend Road. Our Ramada is outlined on the map.

There are two picnic tables, a power outlet, and a grill. If you want to use the grill you'll have to bring everything but the grill, that would mean charcoal, igniters, the food, tools and all.

We do not have a beer permit but I can get one for $10 if you'd like.

No glass bottles, cans only.

Food can be purchased at the Snackstop and at Hartley's General Store, or you can bring your own.

The model railway building (16 on the map) will be open and there is no entrance fee. That's another photo-op right there!

All we need now is to agree when we'll show up!

Fantastic. You guys pick the time. As far as beer, I'm mainly a wino, but will contribute to the beer fund if any one wants a wee bit of lubrication.

After thinking about it for a few days, I think Ole is right about afternoon. All day may be to long to long to find things to shoot all day. How about meeting between 2-3. Shoot the model trains, then the rides & exhibits when the light is better?

I'm in...between 2 and 3 sounds good to me. I am always early wherever I go so I will most likely be there closer to 2. See you all there. Just give me a yell if anyone needs a ride. My cell is 480-two77-73one9.
