Ah, thanks mate. I've just bitten the bullet.
Bought via DWI: Pentax K5 IIs Body Only K-5 IIs Digital SLR Cameras Digital World International
Much cheaper than I got the K-5 classic for second hand...
Fantastic! Enjoy... I'm jealous

Thanks mate. First time shopping with them, and hopefully they'll meet expectations. Pretty hard to beat the reliable and competitive B&H/Adorama, but it's good having some Aussie retailers (even if HK sourced) getting in the act with Pentax gear at good prices.

I'm looking forward to your impressions after you open the box mate. I don't deny that the price is pretty irresistible and that I am tempted...

No worries. The O-GPS1 should also be arriving with it and ill be sure to post my thoughts comparing it to the K-5 classic.

Did you get the O-GPS1 from DWI? I cannot find a listing on their site for that item.

I looked there and couldn't see any accessory pages..

I looked again and there's no accessories page online. Do you mind telling me what you paid for the O-GPS1?

PS: I did a search and it came up in a page of it's own for $249.

@Bossa it's listed twice; once for $230 and again for $249.

And now have just been informed (by email from DWI) that the K-5 IIs is on back order.
After the research and enquiries to ensure it was available in stock at DWI, I get told this.
Calling them to enquire about the order got me only to a message bank.

Anyone else had issues with back orders through DWI?

I got a call back from DWI and was told I 'must have' ordered after they ran out of the last K-5 IIs in stock.
Hopefully I'll be getting a call from them tomorrow to update me on the next batch being ordered in.

In the meantime, I've checked out the Pentax website, and it's pretty flashy:

Bummer, it's funny how our order are *always* after the last of the advertised stock was sold....

I got my K-5 IIs from camerastore.com.au (based in Adelaide) in mid-November. No hassles at all.
