Aussie Pentaxians

Been having a chat with Ash and seeing as the Social Groups are a bit empty in activity - here is our
Dedicated Australian Pentaxians Thread!

We figured there was so many new Aussies joining up, it was worth it!

Our online retailers:

Spreadsheet for online Pentax Retailers:
https://docs.google.com/spreadsheet/ccc?key=0Ahu_bzBMwRmLdEVQVWIzQVRxdWc1OTB...FE&usp=sharing
Submit a new retailer: https://docs.google.com/a/darksideofthepants.net/forms/d/1AiDT1xsHfcn0IjpeJI...x37cc/viewform

Please be careful when editing the spreadsheet directly. I can restore - I'd just prefer not to

"Pentaxian" has special meaning on this forum, maybe we should call ourselves Pentralians.

Great idea mate.
Aussie Pentaxians are discerning photographers.
This thread should bind us together for the purpose of building each other up, network and inform each other of local activities and offers related to Pentax gear.
Like this: I'm eyeing off this attractive offer: Pentax K5 IIs Body Only K-5 IIs Digital SLR Cameras Digital World International
Hmmm...

Use a crowd called A-tech in Melbourne I thought. Have been eyeing that price for a while now.

Whenever this sort of thing comes around I was want to crank the occa (never sure how to spell it) right up because it seems unrealistic. i.e. Bonza thread mate! What a cracker! Then I realise that I say "G'day" and "Mate" tens if not hundreds of times a day. And I'm fairly sure I actually said, something was a cracker earlier this evening. Anywho.

Great idea this. I'm in Western Queensland, Brissy boy originally.

Well, I didn't know that. One can only hope they get a good one in the first instance.

A. You must provide a properly completed International Warranty Certificate and purchase receipt, which can only be provided by the retailer or distributor in the country of purchase. C.R Kennedy & Company cannot provide free service without sighting these documents.
Yet they do go on to say this:

You've noticed that too.

Once you all start chatting away, you realise we're not going to be able to keep up with the local dialect you guys have down there.

These guys are a little confused: Pentax Digital SLR Cameras - Digital Camera Warehouse
K-r for $949 and K30 for $650?
And what about the K-5 II for $1099 and the K-5 classic for $1259?
What's the go?

The Kr has always been oddly priced. It's kinda like it never dropped. Ever. Even after it was discontinued.
As the K5II vs K5Classic - LOL
