This is not a Pentax specific event, but interesting none the less. It's sponsored by Midwest Photo Exchange, they unfortunately don't carry Pentax, but I've bought accessories like tripods and bags there. You have to register online for this, it will take you through their checkout process, but it is free. I've signed up my daughter and myself, so there should be at least two Pentax shooters there. Short North Photo Walk
on Saturday, May 4, 2013 - 9:00am to 12:00pm
Starting Location: Goodale Park Pond (corner of Buttles Ave. and Park St.)
Walk Leader: Aaron Sheldon
This is a 2-3 hour photo walk through the streets and alleys of the Short North neighborhood in Columbus, Ohio. A vibrant neighborhood filled with galleries, restaurants and unique shops, the Short North appeals to many different types of photographers.
This photo walk is a great opportunity for street and architecture photographers, and any other type of photographer, to build their portfolios with scenic images of the Short North. Attendees should bring their cameras, lenses, and portable tripods or monopods. The walk begins at the pond in Goodale Park, on the corners of Buttles Ave. and Park St. From there, we will explore the breathtaking architecture and street art that can be found in Short North's streets and alleyways.
Metered street parking is available throughout the Short North, specifically on W. Goodale St. between Park St. and Neil Ave. We recommend arriving at least 20 minutes prior to the start time to ensure that you find parking and allow yourself enough time to walk to the starting point.
Register early to get a 10% discount on an MPEX rental. We encourage you to book your rental gear as soon as possible. Click here for a full roster of our rental gear.
There is no fee to register. However, you must be registered by April 30 to attend.
