Kearney, Nebraska is a small college town 3 hours from here (Omaha - largest Nebraska city), where the only camera store in town has told me repeatedly they will NEVER carry Pentax.

I think we're going to see a whole lot more of this in coming months.

Hey, it's a start. Maybe they're making a trial run with a new program, teaching these Reps (who haven't had much experience lately, probably since the Hoya days) how marketing works. Now, if this is the only thing they do for a year, I'd worry. But I have a hunch it's a small step in a direction we all wish they' d take.

Bizarre. As a native Nebraskan...what a weird choice of locale.

But hey, it's something!

I have the same question as JinDesu. Is this event just a demo, or is it part of a launch?

Edit: Also, why is the woman in the promo photo holding a brand-neutered camera? Looks like a K-5?

I think with the goals that Ricoh has stated for Pentax they would be happy to go to any store anywhere. There's nothing wrong with going to Kearney, it's probably the only camera store in the region and they probably have a large draw from the region.
