Hi all

Im a new pentaxian and a proud owner of a K20D....
Lenses.... FA31mm and DA* 50-135. Thats is my start up kit. I selected these lenses for my interest in monuments and potraits. One day I wish to become a good photographer alligning with my interests

Im posting here to know for two reasons....
1) Wish to pair up with a pentaxian in India - Preferably in Bangalore.

2) Learn more by collaborating with this group...

Hi All,
ramseas - you were stating of bidding in E-bay. Honestly speaking, I have not done this before. Im looking at some good prime lenses. Wide angle ones. Do we have anyone from this forum who has some give some gyan for me.

Hi all,

I am a Pentax user in Pune, India.
It is great to see there are Pentaxians in India too!


I have:

bodies:
ME-Super (1979 model)
K100D

lenses:
M 50mm f1.7
M 200mm f4
SIGMA 70-300 f3.5-5.6 APO DG macro

I source my stuff from US through friends and relatives returning to India.
It is hard to find Pentax stuff in India.

I am soon getting a sigma 30mm f1.4 and sigma10-20mm from a friend in Japan.

Wow Indian Pentax users are growing, gr8, Cant we all have a get-together kind of thing, where we all pentax users can meet & share our experinces & best works. I dont know how many of us are profesionals, but still whenever we have some free time we can meet & share experiences.
How about meeting at some place where we can take some nice pictures too.
In My next trip to bangalore I would surely meet few of pentax users.

Dear Madhur,

A get-together sounds nice and will help build up the Pentax-India community. When do you plan to visit Bangalore? I'll be there in August most probably as I plan to do a Western Ghats road trip hoping to see and capture some fantastic Western ghats wildlife on my K 10D. If we happen to be visiting at the same time, we could meet up in Bangalore.

Also, do drop your contact details with me as I happen to visit Nagpur fairly often on my way to Pench, Tadoba, Bandhavgarh and other central Indian wildernesses, we could definitely meet up.

My Trip to Bangalore is not planned yet, May be I can join you in August.
Recently I left my Job in Nagpur & shifted back to my Home town Bikaner in Rajasthan.
Still I will also visit jungles near Nagpur few more times.

Lets hope for a nice meeting in future.
