a 50 1.8 DA? Probably would give it a test run against the 50 1.4A I have.

The 1.8 is sharper wide open but harsher bokeh, no quick shift, no distance or dof markings.

Just picked up an A 50/1.4 ... would be an interesting shoot-off between it, my other two A 50's (F1.7 & f2), and the DA 50/1.8 ... good luck again to all. J

I have:
Ricoh 50/2
Smc-m 50/1.4
Smc-m 50/1.7
Smc-a 50/1.7
Da 50/1.8
Fa 50/1.4

BUt well, never got the time to do it properly.

Agreed ... "never ending story" if I were to add in my M's (all 3), SuperTak's, off-brands, etc. ... and let's not get into 55's & 58's because they are a "close FL" to a 50mm! J

Ok basically, just by posting 20 posts between 0001-2359 on Monday, you'll be guaranteed 20 points. (Only for posts in eligible forum sections. See the rules for the list.) There seems to be a huge following here on the forum for multiple 50mm ownership.

I'm beginning to wonder if I'm doing it wrong by only owning one, yes... I hear some people screaming already "only one".
