Neon Museum Las Vegas

The Neon Museum is a great place to visit when you travel to Las Vegas. They allow you to take a camera in with you on the regular guided tours; just a camera--no other gear or bags. There are day-time, as well as night-time tours. Photo shoots, proper, can be booked also.

I went for the 5 PM tour on Sunday. Light was pretty nice, however, I plan go back for a night tour, too. I took a couple of visitors with me; they loved it, as did I.

excellent Vegas side trip ...

Had the opportunity to visit the Neon Museum last September. The tours are guided and take about 1 hour to complete. They're pretty strict on photo-taking though. No tripods, large camera cases, and no lagging behind the group. Our guide was firm following the policy but did allow ample time for picture taking. I stayed in the back of the pack to get pics without other tourists in the images. Good for photo taking, but you'll miss the guide talking about the history of all the old signs. I do recommend buying tickets online before you go. The tours do sell out and I did see disappointed folks walking away.

It's definitely worth the money and after the tour you're in walking distance of Fremont Street (Old Vegas).
