Sunday we need to organize an event, but we are all a bit far apart. I'm on the east side near Matthews.

Lenoir here.

I like Uncle Vanya's idea of a get together. Anyone else up for the idea?

I'm giving a talk at the Charlotte Museum of History on Saturday, September 19th on the photography of Hugh Morton. I curated the Hugh Morton retrospective, which is on exhibit there through September 30th.

Well, if you want to come to the Transportation Museum, you're in my town (actually, Spencer, which is for all intents and purposes Salisbury's sister city). I'll join you for that.

When on the 19th are you giving the talk on Hugh Morton? I seem to remember meeting Mr. Morton in Chapel Hill several decades ago. I have an admissions event at my college in the morning.

The zoo might be a reasonable central meeting place for folks from around the state. My daughter always likes it when I find reason to go to the zoo.

Awesome. You and I know some of the same people then. Do you know Don Nelson or his sons Scott and Jeff?
Also I have a slide of me with one of the Grandfather mountain bears. Hugh took me behind the scenes and took that photo using my gear.

I would love to come. I didn't know the museum had reopened.

I wish I had checked this thread earlier. We spent the entire day in Spencer for day out with Thomas the train.

Did not get as good shots as last year. They had lots of " do not climb" signs, and more importantly lots of watchers. Plus the rain. The entire day will give 2 shots that makes my yearbook.
