Lenses for Disneyland (California)

The last time we went to Disneyland I rented the sigma 24-70 and I'm thinking about renting the pentax 24-70 this trip. I'm wondering if I should even bother though as maybe 24 isn't wide enough on my crop sensor.

Lens choices from what I own are sigma 18-35, pentax 18-135, sigma 10-20. I have others but wouldn't bother with them. I doubt I will try to shoot dark rides but maybe.

So should I bother renting the 24-70, rent something else, or stick with what I've got? Shooting with a k3.

Just take the 18-135 and enjoy your time there. Or maybe the 18-35 if you are expecting low light.

Go over your old photos. How often did you shoot at 24? How often at 70?

If you are anticipating going on anything even remotely resembling a water ride, take the 18-135. If you think there might be inclement weather, likewise. I've just finished a 3 week overseas holiday with my family, and apart from ONE specific use that was planned carefully ahead (and needed the DA15/4), the 18-135 was on the camera almost the whole time and did the job well.

If you think you need more wide angle and less reach, and renting a DA16-85 is an option, you could consider that. IIRC that one is also WR.

I just went to Disney World and brought with me the DA*16-50mm. I also brought a second body with a 70-200mm but found that I didn't need it and honestly wish I had left it behind instead of carrying the extra gear in my bag. The 16-50mm was perfect for everything that I needed.

On our last trip to Disneyworld my 18-135 was on the camera for the majority of the time. Aside from the DA 50 1.8 for low light shots and the 40m Ltd (just 'cause it's so small and takes up virtually no room) the 18-135 did everything I needed.
Keep to the 18-135 and enjoy the trip.
