Berlin, Prague, or Dresden?

I will be in Europe on business and have a day to spare. Which city would you recommend for a photo walkabout, and what should I be sure to see?

From my point of view Prague is the clear winner.

My wife just faced similar choices in putting together a trip with a friend. They settled on Budapest but Prague was a close second on that leg of the trip. In the end only room for one of the two but it handily defeated Berlin in their eyes.

Prague (old town) is hard to beat if you like old classical architecture (who does not like that?).

Berlin is a freaky place - so depending on the type of photography you want to do it could be a great choice but architecturally the city is scattered and eclectic: Architecture in Berlin - Wikipedia

I worked in all three towns, and I also would tend to Prague.

But I would not dismiss Amsterdam.

Prague. Don't forget to add a big stopped ND filter to your kit, you may use that to remove other tourists from your shots.

Prague. Been a few times - lots of fabulous photo opportunities.

If you want to visit the castle I suggest getting a taxi up there for when it opens. Then walk down into the old town via Charles bridge.

Prague (Praha)!!! Fantastic city. Spent 3 days there - not anywhere near enough time. Old Town is a really neat area.

Dresden is not that interesting IMO. There are a few nice courtyards that have been rebuilt but it would be very far down my list of top European cities to visit.

Berlin is a cool city but for a single day it would be tough since it’s sort of spread out.

Never been to Prague but I agree with others that would be my choice.

I agree with this both from a photographic perspective as well as checking out one of the beer museums.
