Agreed.

As Alfisti said, PM me if you want me to take down any of these (Alfisti seemed particularly deerlike). Just clicking around...

From top to bottom
--anything looks cool with the Nokton. Come on Canadian dollar!!
--shots of the guys, debating whether to trek on through the mist
--my last shot before I put on my sigma 28-200 (rain lens ) and all went to hell.

Thanks guys!

the film camera was mine, i wanted to test Don's DA*16-50 on it to see how much it vignettes

and boy does it!

also it had the Cosina 55 F1.2 slapped on it,

i didnt take many pictures, wasnt dressed right so i was just thinking more about keeping warm than photo composition.

it was great to talk to everyone though, that was probably the best part for me

this was Don's DA*16-50 on my K20D, wide open, auto-focused, and at mere 1/6th of a second!

this was with my Super Takumar 35mm F2.0

this was my Super Takumar 135 F2.5

what was so intresting guys? ehh? ehh?

Hey guys, it was very nice meeting you all. Sorry I had to split early.

Here are a couple of shots from the short time I was there.
Victor checkin' out the 12-24 (mixed lighting, shot in jpeg 'cause I didn't check settings)

Serge looking at the on-coming rain with trepidation

They day was mostly gray and orange

With a splash of red and green

The ents were there posing for us

One even showed it's tired face

HEre are my efforts, too much yakking from me and not enough photos. Mind you light levels were crazy low, even these were below the 1/fl ROT.

I have a new system (monitor and machine) so any feedback on the processing is appreciated, especially the black levels.

The * lenses proved VERY handy.

Taken with the Voitlander 58mm which was a clear winner in the "holy smokes that's something" lens stakes.

ISO1600 pushed another 1 1/2 stops .... not bad actually.

I can't remember who owns the Voit but that was just half a stop down from wide open and the 100% crop is outstanding. it handles the shitty background well too. If it was an AF lens i'd be all over it.

it's lbam's. my pic was at 1.4 and still quite sharp and good bokeh

I think the Voigtlander might give the new Pentax 55mm a run for it's money, but of course it depends on your shooting style as to whether the manual focus game is what you like.

It's probably best to just get both :-P

I like those portraits shots Alfisti, what aperture were they shot at?

Oh, I think the black levels look fine on my laptop screen (where I do all my editing).

The first was your Voit at f/1.8, the second my 77 at 1.8 and the third the 50-135 at 2.8.

Gee you guys had a good time. I could not come as I had a meeting. Instead we (TPMG in Toronto) went to High Park Sunday . It was raining on and off and dark. I did use a long lens to blur out the crappy background.

A couple of iso 1600 shots (low light with direct flash ) Nov 9. Obviously there were no Pentax talk
