Has everone gone into hibernation mode? Not much happening around here apart the the daily routine of calf raising. But the good news is I have managed to sell the Hasselblad I was selling on behalf. Sending it off this afternoon - shame - it was nice having it sit around. I ended up putting a film thru it to check it and that was enough to remind me how good digital is!

Reno hell!

I'm making slow progress with the pizza oven project. It is eating up nearly every weekend hour! Completely over engineered of course!
I'm supposed to paint the house but this is much more enjoyable.

Pizzas at my place soon!

That sounds like a good plan Mark.

In my case work is absolutely flat out at the moment. Head down, and all that good stuff.

I have finally managed to make some progress on fixing the 250-600. The broken bits are all up in Tauranga at the moment being 3D modelled and then 3D printed. So I am expecting to have it fixed and operational within a month.

I'm allegedly quite good at making pizzas, as in dough and all. Next time I visit my little bro, I might have to pay a visit

Meanwhile, down here at the top of the south, my photography managed to get a story about me in Stuff (the bloke in the photo isn't me)
Amateur botanist accidently uncovers 'noxious' weed in Marlborough | Stuff.co.nz
Unfortunately I can't claim it for Pentax, as I found for species identification the GPS tagging of photos on my phone a necessary function, and buying a Pentax GPS unit costs about as much or more than my phone is worth.
If there is something worth getting a better image of I'll use the geotagged image from my phone to match the location in Lightroom with a higher quality image from my camera.

I haven't actually done a lot of other photography lately, although I'm keeping a watch out for the local native sun orchids to flower in the next few weeks.

Since the Stuff article, I actually found more of the pest, some kilometres away, and I've written up my discovery myself on my blog here: Serious recreation in Marlborough's backyard
I'm not sure how many people still blog these days, but I prefer it to social media, as it gives me full control.

Looks great!

Hopefully, we'll soon see a "Pentax Pizza" with a big "P" made of peppers on it.
