Time i bought a lens !
I always have longings for a 70-200 when the boxing day bikes come around
and go through this routine of deciding i can't afford Pentax then read Sigron reviews then do nothing again.
Decided the F*300/4.5 is all I need...
anyway I rather like the style of F lenses so snagged this one of these for $100
gets glowing reviews mainly. The glorious sound of the courier tooting by the door awaited !

Some weird as bokeh --

-- but that probably won't matter for your applications.

Looking forward to hearing from you what you think about the lens.

Having been reading your thoughts on some other threads recently CA - do you think it could be because of an accelerator unit

Just tricking, don't answer that

I must get around to using my A70-210/f4 again - she’s another heavy one!

I just bought a "lens" off TradeMe. It's a solid sucker.

This Soviet 1,100mm Lens is Basically a Telescope with a Camera Mount

It will probably live on this when it arrives at the end of the month.

iOptron CEM26 Goto EQ Mount ? Astronz

There is a total solar eclipse in NZ in 2028, and I want to be ready.

I am hoping to have the 250-600mm ready to go by then, I reckon it would be a good lens for that sort of photography

A teleconverter will bump up image scale. The size of the sun on the sensor, in mm, is equivalent to focal length/110.

Something like this will keep most of the light and heat out of the optical train so you don't have to shoot at stupidly small f/ratios apertures.
