Given what he does I agree but I would also be tempted with the xe1 or xpro with 35 prime. Having interchangable lens keeps future options open.
Read a few reviews, X100s bet is off
I reckon its an M9 and a 28
fixed lens was a red herring

Ah bliss... there's nothing quite like a full round of 'The four Yorkshiremen' and a cup of bovril to finish the day.

Waist..waist !! your granny had a waist... ours was two eyes and a scrunch of hair sat upon a pillow....

You had a granny? All we had left were her old false teeth. Mum used to crimp the edges of the pies with them, and the dog used them on the postie.

The issue there of course is that would be a 52mm focal length (35mm equivalent) compared with 35mm equivalent focal length for the X100S
woopps got me.

How on earth do you crimp the edges of a postie...?

So where are you planning to send the fiver then

I had a play with the X100S when I was last in Wellington at WPS, Vivian St. I was quite impressed with it - focus was quick, even in fairly low light....Didn't get files of course - but seemed to handle ok. The hybrid viewfinder is a beaut!. Sean Reid has been testing one for a while (I subscribe) and seems very happy with it.

Price that is where I stopped and thought about what I could buy in Pentax K lenses for $1800 and had a wee smile to myself, and handed it back with a thank you for letting me play

With difficulty I would imagine, except for the crusty ones.

The prize I think goes to pixelsaurus - I am still laughing, and now have the hiccups - very therapeutic
