Here's the 645Z, showing what the system is "capable of":
Holy crap!
I just watched that clip. Damn that's just pathetic. Pentax are shooting themselves in the foot really, really badly here with this 'Movie SR' bit.
I'm quite frustrated at the moment because I don't have the money, nor the desire, to have two separate cameras, one for stills and one for video.
I also don't want to drop to a smaller sensor camera to achieve this. If I'm honest this is mostly as I like the depth of field that's available on APS-C with the lenses I've got.
Pentax has all the hardware required to make a great video camera also, it's just the software is a huge let down, and this could be easily fixed with a bit of effort and a free firmware update...
Also forgot to mention about the Sony:
The lens that ships with the A6000 (the APS-C version of the A7 range if you will) was an electronic zoom type. I've never used (or heard of really) one of these before, but when you adjust the zoom ring there is a delay and then the lens drives to that position. Totally weird and another thing that's not for me! Flick a switch and that same ring (there is only one on the lens) becomes the manual focus ring.
