I think the lenses come in from Hong Kong straight to your house, without going through Napier.
That makes sense.

Napier's only a 3.5 hr drive, ask him if he allows pick-ups.
I haven't been in Napier yet. Something I'm looking forward to.

Maybe I could get something for my new K-7.
Have you got one already?
Did you already meet Jimmy or went through some other channel?

K-7 brochure

If you also like brochures, have a look at the K-7 brochure. You can view it online but also download a PDF (after providing an email address).

Pete, I'm looking forward to your f/1.2 shots!

me too Mate
been practicing with the M-50/1.4, I'm sure the extra light and razor thin dof will make the split collar screen even easier to use. Flare might be a bit of an issue so I have the 135mm hood at the ready.

So anyone here want to buy a K20D, about 15 months old, around 9,000 shutters? Body only, NZ new. Thought I'd ask here before sticking it on Trademe. I'm open to serious offers, but I'm thinking around $1,000.

see Trademe :: Fotopic.Net for pics.

I suppose I should've asked here first too , but I've put my Pentax 80-320 up on TM too.

Looking at that K-7 brochure I'd say a K-7 spent a bit of time in NZ.

Thanks for offering it to us first.
Very nice product shots.
The camera appears to be in great shape.
I'm tempted but want to focus on a few more lenses first. My K100D is still going strong and deserves a bit more use.

I'll definitely have a good look at it as a telephoto lens is 3rd on my list of lenses to get.

Of course!

I'm taking offers on a Pentax K10D if anyone is keen.
10,500 shutter actuations. Excellent condition, never had a problem with it. Never dropped. No marks or scratches. Would come with battery, charger, manual, cables, neck strap.

Can also add a very good condition Pentax DA 18-55mm f/3.5-5.6 lens if you were looking at buying that as well. Oh and a 52mm Hoya Pro1 circular polariser I got for the lens worth $70 if I remember rightly. I was planning on keeping this lens but if you wanted it I could let it go for a good offer.

Also happy to show you how to work the camera if you're around in the Wellington area.

Let me know if you're interested and what you think it's worth.

The only thing worng with the K10D is a small piece of dust in the lower left part of the viewfinder. Not very noticeable, doesn't affect images at all.

Maybe clean that out with a blower? Just don't do the mirror up thing and blow around in there everywhere. Then check the sensor to see if you blew any onto that.

That's an idea, but note that any further action (trying to remove the screen and clean it) bears the risk of damaging your screen forever. These are very, very delicate things.

If you've got more dust on the screen after the blowing, blame Arpe.

If I had dust on the screen, I'd try to remove it very carefully but I'd be prepared to get a replacement screen.

Pete is all over the moon with his new split-prism screen so that may be an alternative, but since you are trying to sell the camera, replacement isn't really an option to look forward to.

I got a bit of crud behind my nifty new one but use my mental dust remap to avoid seeing it

Pentax repairs in NZ

If anyone's looking for a place to have Pentax equipment repaired:
Phil Jacobs in Petone seems to be good. Found two recommendations.

Arpe, is this, by any chance, where you've got your lens cleaned?

Hi Peter,
Yes it is the weather sealed lens.
Would you like us to put one aside for you, we have them in store?

Regards
----------

Asking K-7 questions could be very expensive
argggggg
individual lens tuning, bigger viewfinder, more IQ
can't...resist...
then again maybe I focus on lenses just now
Pete
