You left in a bit of a hurry last time. Welcome back and congrats to the bronze award.

What happened to the M 85mm f2 that you where bidding on at TM? It was withdrawn. Did you do a secret deal?

Terrible camera!
2nd hand?

Truly a wonderful camera, if you don't need faster AF it's got everything.

Down South

Hi to you all.
I've been a Pentax user for many years, and I'm still using my Pentax K, the original one from back in the 50's - which sort of dates me. It's been joined by an MZ, an MZ5N, a K20D, and most recently a Z1 which may or may not be in working order. But at least I get a usable lens.
I belong to two local clubs, Southland (Invercargill) and Gore, as well as to PSNZ.
I seem to collect gear, which might explain why my darkroom houses three enlargers, and there's quite a collection of cameras which come in for serious use.
And along the way, I collect photographs and photographic books.
It's a great hobby

If you have literature recommendations you may leave them at the Photographer's Library. I'm just reading a book by Andreas Feininger and it lives up to its reputation. Very well written indeed.

I'm currently taking all night classes on photography I can get hold off before the government closes them for good.

Oops - hey Stan, I see you found this already.

Sorry, you have 3 what? Enlargers - sounds rude! Sorry, no spamming allowed here
I remember my father had a Pentax SLR, I wish I knew what model. I remember being very impressed by it though. I've had a Minolta X500 and a Nikon F65 SLR (loved the Nikon), before moving into the Pentax digital.

Th K20D is a beautiful camera to use. Feel free to post pics whenever you want.

I was reading Pentax F 100mmf2.8 macro brief comments
as one does
and after ploughing through miles of tedious adoration I found this quote
"It's an ugly looking lens"
accordingly I warn anyone from trying to buy this lens

Too late - early bid on it from a member here. Do you think he's trying to warn us off?
