I find myself shooting with the 35-70mm lens a lot these days!

Thanks Mark - that was my favourite from all the ones I took yesterday. I was pretty happy with all the detail the lens is giving :-)

Wow! A passenger train. In NZ. Outside of Wellington. Perhaps Kiwirail should hand them over to DOC, they've become such an endangered species.

I know what you are saying - there is potential of course that Mark has 'photoshopped' the image

All joking aside I am assuming it is the commuter rail that goes through from Wairarapa to Wellington.

Ross! I just noted a disturbing fact in the EXIF data of your photos: Camera Make: RICOH IMAGING COMPANY, LTD. Camera Model: PENTAX K-3
Note that, the K-5's EXIF data says this: Camera Make: PENTAX Camera Model: PENTAX K-5

No, not Photoshopped, LOL. Just the regular Wairarapa line commuter train. Usually seen several times a day.

No, no, no, no. If Kiwirail hands them to DOC, they're get misidentified and shot!

Changing it up; I recently did a drive from my place just outside Toronto to Thunder Bay. Canada is a big chunk of dirt, and the speedo read 3250km more by the time I got back. The sad part is that I didn't even leave the province of Ontario! Good trip, there is some wonderful country up there and you can go for minutes at a time without seeing cars.

I was thinking of Nelson when I took this (overlooking Lake Superior).

Hey guys, just dropping in to say hello. I'm Justin, living in Hamilton but originally from good old Yorkshire in the (not so) sunny UK :-) I've just picked up a K-x from a second hand store and it seems to be going well so far. I'll try and get some shots up soon. Cheers.
