That was what I was thinking. It would change my whole approach to NZ's rivers and coastline

Large eels can be quite a bad experience too. But crocks would take it to the next level!

I'm hearing there's a circuit board upgrade for existing K-1 users. That might interest a few here...

Thats a very interesting development from Pentax, but i did also notice that the upgraded bodies will get the Mk II logo's and marking attached as well... why not call them a mk1a or K-1u

Main thing is the K-1 ii changes are mostly internal and software, so an upgraded Mk 1 is pretty much a Mk II by the time you've switched out the circuit board.

K-1 1.5?

How they'll do it, is they'll swap out the SR logo. So, original K-1's will have the original logos, while K-1 II models will have the K-1 II logo and the new SR logo. But, upgraded K-1's will have the new SR logo applied, so it will be possible to spot, at a glance, a K-1, a K-1 upgraded and a K-1 II.

Poll on the reasons for this.

"Important: as you can see on the photos, I used to have all the labels covered up to keep the camera anonymous while travelling."
