Pentax users from New Zealand sign up here!

We also have a social group but the latter doesn't allow quoting and doesn't notify members about new postings. We are therefore using this thread to communicate about the troubles and joys of being a Pentax user in the land where the Kiwi roams.

Please join the social group anyhow, if you like, so that we have a record of all Kiwi Pentaxians.

Regarding that K10, I think I'm giving up. This is the second time he's listed it, first with what I think was a $1k reserve, and he claims to have lowered it now, although not by much, apparently. At that sort of price, I might as well just put the money aside to save for k20 really...

Oh crap, this is how it starts, isn't it...

I'm sorry that it didn't work out.

I think that'll be the wisest move. I don't know what you are currently using but in any case the jump to the K20D would be the most noticeable, and I'm sure you'll be able to continue just fine till your savings and the (ever declining?) price of the K20D meet.

Is there a lens which has the same optical formula as the Voigtlander Nokton 55mm, f/1.8?

For instance, there is a Super Takumar 55mm, f/1.8 on TM, is it possibly the same design?

Oh, you'll have a clever idea yourself some day. Just make sure on one else beats you to implementing it.

I'm (usually) only on here at lunchtimes. I don't get time to go to all the threads. Wish I could look at the post your photos one more often. So didn't have time to gauge the mood of the audience yesterday!
Anyway, well done.

Yay, wind is dying down here.

I haven't lived in NZ for 28 years but my wife's family lives there and Pat herself was born in that thriving metropolis, Ekatahuna. Does that count?

Er, Transit, when did Wanganui get an "h" in it?
