I'm thinking it's about time to try getting rid of my K-5 and my (non-WR, original model) 55-300. What do folks here reckon is the best approach? Separate, or as a bundle? I also have an F35-70 Macro that could be included.

Perhaps separate with mutual cross-referencing and offering discounts on multi-buys?

My observation has been that cameras sell better with a lens, so if someone is just getting into the system they are set to go

Best way to do it would be sell the body with the 35-70 as a kit, then split the 55-300 off and sell it separately, and as others have said, ref the separate lens auction with the body and visa-versa to encourage more traffic to both

Yeah it's almost worth buying a cheap kit lens, so it all goes as a fully working concern.

That said, I've successfully sold a body before, and a full kit before that. Good luck regardless.

What's the recommendation here in NZ re lens cleaning/service?

I have a 55-300 that I realised is cloudy inside. Doesn't seem to have a big impact on clarity, but it can't be helping either. Was pretty annoyed when I spotted it under a hotel down light.

Anyone used anyone in particular to undertake this sort of fix?

I'd give it a go myself, but it's a modern AF style lens, and I'm not entirely confident about all the plastic over the sturdy metal of yesteryear...

Looking over the service diagrams, it is totally amazing how much is packed into that tiny little body, and the feats of miniaturization

CW services in Christchurch is good for lens repair.

I was about to put an Ultrawide lens onto TM - it's a Sigma 18-35 full frame lens F3.5 to 4.5 with an 82mm filter, case, caps, and hood. It's mechanically good, all functioning properly, but it has an oily residue (tiny droplets) on an interior lens surface. it's not moisture as it's been like that for years, no fungus, or any other problems - just the oily stuff. If someone wants it message me they can have it cheap - but it does need a clean - I doubt it's a big job, but I don't have the tools or the inclination myself.

Yup Greg at CW in Timaru is fantastic, we use him a bit for what little non warranty repair work we get these days.

Thanks for the advice, and from everyone else.

I'll probably spend some time this weekend getting some sale shots and listing it as above. If anyone here is interested, PM me before then with an offer. I have yet to work out values.
