I really tried to get a 70 and it seems it is very good on the full frame...
finished up with the 77 and paid for it with this shot

Only if you are not looking too closely at the outermost edges (the shorter ones). Using a square crop, it may work without too much compromise, but despite many people having advocated both the 70mm and 40mm APS-C lenses by Pentax to work well on full-frame, there are plenty of examples showing the optical limitations of these optics when used on a full-frame camera.

True. I think the 70 holds up better than the 40. I had high hopes for the later but had to relent and get the 43 :-)
