Happy Boxing Day. We spent Christmas Day working off Christmas Eve on our bikes.
Unfortunately the weather hasn't been particularly photogenic so far with either grey overcast, or harsh sun, with not much in between, so not really anything worthy of a Pentax to post.
(Even a rubbishy smartphone does fine for family snaps that will never end up larger than a 6x4" if that!)
I must say the 10-20mm has proved a very good seasonal lens. It means inside photos make our lounge look the size of Buckingham Palace, and it's been useful for documenting some outdoor adventures.
I have my niece and nephew here from Brazil over two months for a kiwi adventure, and like most teens, they're smartphone addicts, but there have been two situations where they've been wowed by what the Pentax can do that their phones can't. Both situations are at extreme focal lengths. 10mm ultra wide, and at the other end up around 500mm with my big Sigma.
Regular smartphone selfies just aren't wide enough to really create an immersive environmental experience, whereas 10mm handles this nicely, while at the long end, some of the outdoor Christmas events we've been to, I've been able to capture good images of performers without getting in the way of spectators.
