I finally have my K-70 back after leaving it at some friends' place in Christchurch. About time too, as my K-50 is starting to show very clear signs of aperture block failure. I've found by switching to live view and taking a photo that seems to sort it for a while, so it's still pretty usable. It never missed a beat until I bought the K-70, and I wonder if leaving it idle for several months didn't help. It's done quite a bit over the last couple of weeks, and apart from the aperture issue, is still a capable camera.
Here's an image from the K-70 on the day the smoke from the Australian bush fires blew over the South Island. This was at Mount Cook. The saturation is enhanced a little, but not much. The place stank of smoke, and if I didn't know better, I'd have thought something was on fire nearby.
My daughter said she thought it was Mordor.
