You're not wrong. My bicycle has seen no use, so this racing season is going to be hell! That is if the carbon can handle the extra weight!

I have finally managed to make some progress on fixing the 250-600. The broken bits are all up in Tauranga at the moment being 3D modelled and then 3D printed. So I am expecting to have it fixed and operational within a month.
That's good news Ross. Can't wait to see your results with it.

I was wondering what had happened to you lot down there! Good to see that life still goes on - liking the pizza oven, Mark!

Reno hell!

I'm making slow progress with the pizza oven project. It is eating up nearly every weekend hour! Completely over engineered of course!
I'm supposed to paint the house but this is much more enjoyable.

Pizzas at my place soon!
Crumbs Mark...your place needs a paint more than mine and mine hasn't had one since 1974 !
(not too worried as it is a very early Lockwood with Aluminium sheathing and while the paint is a little chalky it is still all adhered )
If you're having such fun building that pizza oven I'm sure that we could all prolong your enjoyment.. I have a space marked out whenever you're feeling glum and need some fun....

best,
bob.

I've painted the worst side! The rest still needs doing. But I'll cut you a deal Bob! You paint my house and I'll build you a pizza oven!

Bob turns up, tapes the windows, hires a huge paint sprayer and finishes the job in one or two days. Mark has weeks of pizza oven building ahead of him

Sounds like a sweet deal Bob...

Two words Ross: "Prep work!"
Painting new stuff is easy. Painting old stuff - not so much.

Hey, I have a 1920's weatherboard house that I stripped back to bare wood to paint at one stage, so I know all about "prep work" BIG job.

But, you never mentioned that, just that you wanted it painted.

Next thing you'll suggest a Mr Bean painting job.

Someone needs to breed trees that embed their own titanium dioxide, then no painting needed - unless you want a colour other than white!

It is a good suggestion, but will never be allowed in NZ as it would be genetic engineering

No, we only allow the living dead - like Winston.

I've never understood what all the fuss around genetic engineering is. I mean, vegans ingest vast quantities of plant DNA, and yet as far as I know there's no evidence they're all turning into vegetables is there?
