Woke up the house rocking and rolling, the birds awake and the cows in the paddock next door going berserk and my wife's many marathon medals clanging around. (She has them on a rail in the bedroom)

Hi all, this lens popped up on my FB feed this evening - probably not going to get one cheaper if you are wanting one.

Kens Camera 15-30 also on TM

I clearly don't want this one

Something like this will keep most of the light and heat out of the optical train so you don't have to shoot at stupidly small f/ratios apertures.
Thanks

Also on the subject of lenses I see this Zeiss ZK 35/2 is for sale on TM

I have one of these already - stunning IQ, one of the best lenses I own, and one of my favourites - if you are looking for that sort of lens

Tsunami warnings have just been been downgraded.

Hope @Transit will be OK in Whanganui.
The old Taranaki bight is sheltered nicely...Until Taranaki blows then the top of the south will reflect the waves right in :-)

We went to the dark sky area at Wairua Lodge on the Coromandel during our 2018 trip and I took some sky panoramas at midnight using the 10-17 and Astrotracer - what a glorious sight that was. First time I’d ever seen the Magellanic Clouds.

I fixed a telescope the other day...Excuse the blokey prose, it's a pretty high class forum :-)

Not far away. We’re in the Hampshire countryside about half an hour from Stonehenge, but I don’t think that there’s anywhere in southern England that has low enough light pollution to get good astro pics. Although I did get some reasonable ones in the Isles of Scilly.

Certainly not the issue with digital cf film. Filters and software have levelled the playing field.
