I think we have a surprising amount of less common lenses come up on TM.
I have ended up with that FA 400 , a FA 135 2.8, this FA 100 2.8 - all reasonably uncommon. Also a 400-600 K mirror which is rare as. A Revuenon 55mm 1.2. But thankfully there is only a handful of people looking and bidding.
What I am noticing is there is a bit less coming thru now.
I've had to restrain myself, as some interesting lenses have come up recently, but I've thought about what use cases I'd have for them, and although there have been some nice lenses, I've tended to pass on them.
After a couple of tramping expeditions, I've thought a bit more about what I'd want to carry to cover the majority of situations and I think the DA 16-85, DA* 60-250 and D-FA 100 2.8 macro would just about make the ideal tramping kit, as they're all weather sealed, and would cover most of what I'd want to photograph, without taking too many lenses. Primes are nice, but realistically, I'm not likely to want to walk long distances with a bunch of them on my back.
One lens I really wanted, but didn't have the money for at the time it was on TM was a DA* 60-250 f/4. They don't come up often, and new they're sitting up around the price of a K-3 III, so it will be a while till I can afford one.
Currently my kit has been Sigma 10-20 F/4-5.6 D-FA 100 2.8 macro, D-FA 28-105, and Tamron 70-200 2.8. That's quite a bit of weight to carry, and neither the Tamron or Sigma are weather sealed or have quick shift. I've managed some nice small bird photos with the Tamron, so the extra 50mm of the 60-250 should be adequate, and it's about 100g lighter. Having an ultra wide angle like the Sigma was nice for landscapes, but I was surprised how much I could do with the 28-105 even though it's more suitable as a standard zoom on full frame, so I think 16-85 would be perfectly adequate. If I can photograph fungi, landscapes, and birds, I'm pretty much covered for my interests.
