a bit off topic

I live not very close to that beautiful place.
Is it were Winnetou and Shatterhand used to ride their horses?
Oh not , that's the place where Yogi and Boo-Boo and Ranger of Nottingham roam around , are they still there?
I hope I will have a chance to visit that amazing Park one day.

Hi Allen

What is the importance of February ?
They have done the wrong thing by not informing you of the cancellation.

Dave
you are correct of course

but the importance of February is that I have lost time

my hope is now that I can find room by the cancellation of a reservation by some one else

so I have to be checking as much as possible for that to happen

Credit where credit is due

I just spent 30 minutes on the phone with a representative from Xanterra - the company who runs the lodging at the National Parks

Yellowstone National Park Lodges

he explained the system they are trying to run under covid restrictions and explained why I had not been contacted earlier in February

it is not the way I would have planned the procedure but it does make sense

______________________

If I choose to book another lodge in the park and that is where we end up staying, they will give me the rate that I would have spent for our original reservation

he promised to try to help me if he can find lodging in the Old Faithful area if possible

[ the reason I need lodging there is that we have a tour leaving from there at 6:15 AM the day after we arrive and travel while dark in the park is highly discouraged because of animal movement ]

so now we wait to see, along with many others in the same fix, what happens as the year progresses

More rocks and stuff .... but

Its your anniversary so maybe no camera this time................

Just this once
thats actually a great advice. Though depends on the circumstances, a camera may be necessary too.

but yes, focus on relationships, and if everyone is okay with the camera, then great!
