Happy Holidays to all! If any sports enthusiastic that are around the St. Louis area this weekend (12/19-12/21) the US Short Track Speedskating Nationals will be held in Chesterfield, MO. It should be an exciting weekend of skating to see Olympians and up comers. Admission starts at $5 a day, so if anyone has any early Christmas LBA they need to try their goodies out this would be a great place.

Went to st. Louis to see Tour of Missouri professional bicycle race. It was good. Just got raised to sanctioned level of the Cal. race.
Now St. Louis is getting the skating championships - cool. Don't know much about this sport. Is this an indoor competition? Is there a website to learn more? Could be interesting. Seems like a tough time to have it - week of Christmas. Could be some great photography.

Hi: My son skated Short Track Pony ~ Juvenile for Gateway SpeedSkating here in St. Louis, for a time with JP Kepka and Misi Toth. I did some work with MSA and (like most parents) coached PeeWee's and did timing or heat box (or even icework). Neat family sport!!

He (his mother) decided he should play Lacrosse exclusively when it came time to get serious (Colorado Springs) or quit.

He did compete several times in Silver Skates and Regionals, and skated early rounds the last time Nationals was here.

Cool to ahve them back on St. Louis Ice.
