I'll try to make it! If I don't have work that weekend!

Distillery District is perfect!

Let me know the date, and I'll try to drag DEVS with me. He's been working way too much lately, and this would be a perfect time to get him out.
But if he can't make it, I'll certainly go.
Just give a heads up with the time and date - Distillery sounds great!

Yikes; I just wrote down when all my assignments are due chronologically, and it's not pretty.

While I do enjoy beers, and I haven't had one in a while, I may or may not be able to make it.

Downgrade my yes to a maybe.

Drop the word "distillery" into the meetup location, and folks come out of the woodwork!

Sounds like The Distillery District (MAP) is the location, and the 22nd is probably the day to do it. Any strong objections?

Now then... what time?

I am not suggesting we change the location of the shoot but it is one of the most obnoxious parts of toronto. Want a burger? That'll come with waitered service for $25 plus taxes thanks.

The Distillery District might be on the touristy side as locations go but it does have alcohol for Gooshin and a mix of indoor and outdoor locations for those that might be intimidated by the weather. Some of the shops don't allow photography inside but outdoors, common areas and the bars should be fair game.

I could make it for any time on the 22nd and don't have a strong preference on timing.

If I'm reading the map Panoguy posted correctly there's a bakery just inside the entry gate to the Distillery at Mill St. and Trinity St. that would be a good place to meet in front of. It's building 45a on this map: http://www.thedistillerydistrict.com/Map_2009.pdf and I believe it's called the Brick Street Bakery.

Touristy is fine, it's more the .....

Customer: "Oh i'll have fries with that sandwhich please"

Waiter: "Would that be peruvian butterfly squash fries or Japanese fusion fries with a side of fois gras?"

Cusotmer: "yeah, ah either one is fine, btw how much are the fries"

Waiter: "$29.95 as a side, $39.95 as a main"

Customer: "maybe i'll just grab the sandwhich by itself then"

Waiter: "May I suggest an Australian Shiraz with your sandwhich?"

Customer: "Sure, sounds great ....................... sorry yeah, how much is it exactly?"

Waiter: "$65 per bottle"

Customer: "Is it a vintage of some sort?"

Waiter: "Yellow Tail"

Customer: "You mean the yellow tail that's $9 at the LCBO?"

Waiter: "So that will be just water then?"

Customer: "Yeah maybe just water"

Waiter: "Before you ask, it is $14 per bottle"

Cutomer: "FFS just tap water!"

Waiter: "Please leave sir"

For the love of god.

Any particular lenses, flashes or accessories people want to try? I'll probably bring an FA 28mm and a Vivitar 285, plus I can throw in a spare flash if anyone wants to see how they handle.

I'll try to be there. The 28/29 weekend would make it much more plausible I can make it.
