K20D Exploded View of Parts

If you thought the ist Dl had a lot of parts, Check out the K20D. I actually used the ist dl diagram to dismantle that camera and successfully change the glass in the viewfinder after it became blurry and unclear K20D Parts listing.pdf. Enjoy!

I would ask for a view of the k200d but i dont want to push it. i was surprised when the lady, after months of no communication remembered who i was and was happy to send me the file. Maybe in the future i will ask but i don't want to ask for too much. I think its pretty cool to see the exploded view as well.. It's always nice to know how things are put together etc. it really is a marvel that all those parts function together all to produce and image..

Thanks for this. We'll happily wait for the day the K200D image is posted.

Owen,
Those are incredible finds, thank you so much for sharing them with us.
I don't have either the ist DL or K20D but thoroughly enjoy the technical drawings and have saved both for possible future reference.
You have a very good friend at Pentax.
Not to be greedy but after the K200D maybe you could get the K10D.
I know it may share quite a bit with the K20D, but it would be nice to have information specific to my camera, should it be needed some day.
Maybe you can tell them you have an independent camera repair business...
And if you took your ist DL apart, replaced parts, put it back together and weather sealed it, and it worked. Well maybe you have a backup career in camera repair.

Thanks again,
Drake

Thanks for all the 'thank you' replies everyone! I think I may just email the lady and ask her to send the k10 and k200 etc just to see if she would do it. I have nothing to lose by asking I suppose..
I'm glad that everyone who has seen them has gotten some appreciation or real helpful knowledge out of the diagrams. I find them fascinating and am thinking that they might make a cool framed piece to hang on the wall..

Thanks,
Owen

Absolutely. As a starting point for study, question one (of the 85 question test) will ask you to explain the purpose of parts A406 through A428. You'll be graded based on the accuracy and fullness of your answers.

Terrific. Once you get the hang of it, I'll just send my camera to you for repair instead of Pentax.

Its nice to know such parts lists are available as I love to take things apart. With a complete parts blow up I would stand a chance of putting it back together correctly.
