DigLloyd "highly recommended" Pentax-FA 400mm/f5.6 lens on 645D

"Just posted in my review of the Pentax 645D in DAP are some examples with the Pentax-FA 400mm f/5.6 ED IF. Highly recommended lens if you’re a 645D owner."

This is highly unusually since he never liked any slow lens like this. And amazingly with the DOF caused focusing uncertainties he pulled out great results center to corners, even widely open and hand-hold.

Cool! We'll get a chance to test the 645d with the 400mm as well as several other lenses- should be fun! The results will be posted as a large-scale review along with all our other reviews.

Hardly surprising, I own one of these lenses and it is one of my favourite lenses for the pentax 645NII.

Again, as expected and totally consistent with what forum members said here, the P67 55mm is stellar, but the P67 45mm is soft out of the central 2/3 area.

My experience too. 67 55mm is a great lens on the 645. A great BIG lens...
Test shot at F8, full size jpg downloadable.

Hi, thanks, I was not specific enough, as I meant the 645 A 2.8/55mm - which he also tested, apparently. And reports about this lens vary, even on film.
