645 film counter

I was out shooting today with a 220 back and strangely the counter on the LCD screen reset back to 1 mid roll. Has this happened to anyone else, should I continue with this roll or manually rewind and remove?

Thanks

You could be fine to continue, as the film will just end when it reaches the end. I'd remove it in a dark place just to be sure, though. Chances are that there may have been a loss of connection or power in your camera for a split second.

Ok thanks, will do. I'd tend to agree with you, it didn't wind the film or anything like it does when spooling a new roll, just reset. Any idea what would cause a power outage? Maybe the lithium battery is failing?

The film holder itself may not have been securely mounted?

The insert was properly inserted. When I reach the end of the roll (I know how many exposures I have left) should I just make blank exposures to wind up the leader, or is there another way to initiate the wind-up?

I'm not sure on this one, but I was under the impression that forced winding was possible. Maybe the manual says how?

I've lost power from dead batteries before - it has memory of how many shots you were at it seems.
