New 645D review with samples from pro-photographer

Google Translate

DFA55 is sharp from wide-opened and has good bokeh. IMO.

I've been downloading samples from the site all day. The 55mm is impressive. What really has me impressed though is the ISO1000 and 1600 images. Other than some detail loss, the images are incredibly clean in the shadows and dark areas.

Love the DOF and bokeh in the images. This is one impressive camera.

Speechless!!!
And depressing!
Because I'll never be able to afford to own one!

Well I might... But it's a long shot.
That would mean, I'd have to sell(almost) everything I own including my musical instruments.

I bought glass some time ago before ...a bit of a gamble thinking once you can actually buy in your local area, the price will go up. Now I plan on waiting till it's been out a year or two, when the price comes down. Wulla!....a cheaper 645d...

ISO1000 and 1600 has some resolution loss, but noise is low and it's very good level.
It's really working ISO.

these samples are a lot better than the previous landscape images. And give us image quality nuts something to analyse in comparison to the Leica S2. The bokeh looks very"pentax" though I am interested to see under what conditions moire is likely to crop up.

I'm surprised at ISO1600 as well. My K20D would have a lot more loss of detail and craploads more chroma noise
Definitely not what I was expecting given all the comments about how MF sensors suck above ISO200...

Just for those that can't download the images (it's very slow). Here's the ISO 1600 image and a couple small crops showing the shadows. Very nice, maybe the best camera I've ever seen at 1600 from any brand.

Very nice indeed ! We do see some cliping but that's understandable from such a camera. I don't really have in mind the capabilities of the current reference (D3S) but it sure looks that the 645D will be handholdable in most situations.

That's very good news !

Speaking of medium-format digital camera ever, PHASE ONE, LEAF, Hasselblad, SINAR, including many types Mamiya digital back was almost as expensive price per car. Therefore, advertisements and magazines, were mostly used as a quality professional cameras are required

Are Japanese the only language of display menu?

It may just be because of the photographer's skill, but even beyond pixel peeping I really like the "look" of these images -- the colors are very rich and there is of course a lot of detail. I can't wait to see what photos we start to see when the 645D is finally released a week from now.

Well, the first wave of cameras are for the Japanese market only, so that would make sense.
